This second movement of "The West Symphony" is similar to the first, but begins very differently...very small and quiet. This grows into another sweeping chorale-style motif, before the movement becomes more fast and light, and mabye even a little mischievous. This theme grows as well, before becoming huge, like "The Blue Wolf on the Plateau," and even includes the opening theme from "The Blue Wolf" as well. This movement then returns to a chorale style before eventually fading away and resolving.
Performed by the Tohoku Fukushi University Wind Ensemble.
