No Zone Places - Song by Learn with Ollie
written by Lisa Jay
This fun, easy-to-learn song helps children understand the importance of body boundaries and knowing who to turn to if something doesn’t feel right.
Using their hand as a guide, kids can remember 5 trusted adults they can talk to—like a parent, teacher, doctor, police officer, or another safe adult. The song empowers children to say “NO”, speak up, and seek help when needed, all while keeping the message positive, safe, and memorable.
Perfect for parents, teachers, and schools to start important conversations in a child-friendly way.

Why should you teach your kids about body safety early?
Kids are taught from toddlerhood what’s “hot,” what’s “sharp,” and what’s “dangerous.” Body safety is no different! it’s part of teaching them boundaries and self-protection.
Here are the key reasons:
1. Early wiring sticks.
By age 7, a child’s sense of right/wrong and their trust filters are already forming. If they don’t have clear rules about their body, they’ll default to whatever adults or peers tell them.
2. Prevention over repair.
Sadly, most unsafe touch happens when children are very young, before they even have the vocabulary to explain it. Teaching “No Zone” places early gives them both words and confidence to tell you if something happens.
3. Normalizes boundaries.
If they grow up knowing their body belongs to them, it doesn’t feel “weird” to say no later on. Boundaries are learned skills, not instincts.
4. Empowers instead of frightens.
Done in age-appropriate language, this isn’t about scaring kids. It’s about giving them the same kind of rule as “look both ways before crossing the road.” Simple, clear, life-saving.
5. Keeps communication open.
If a child knows they can name private body parts and talk about them without shame, they’re more likely to come to you instead of staying silent.
