Kumano Kodo (Daimon-zaka slope section) is a pilgrimage route lined with centuries-old trees, leading from the valley to Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine, one of the main destinations of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes.
The shrine celebrates Yatagarasu, the three-legged crow which is the
logo of Japan’s national soccer teams.
At the top rests Nachi Falls, the tallest in Japan at 133 meters high.
