Here’s a simple recipe for Korean fried chicken with gochujang sauce
For the sauce:
• 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• Optional toppings: toasted sesame seeds, sliced green onions
Instructions:
1 1/2 lbs (about 700g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or wings, cut into bite-sized pieces
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot
Add chopped garlic,red chilli,green onion
In a separate saucepan, combine gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Toss the fried chicken pieces in the gochujang sauce until evenly coated.
Serve the Korean fried chicken hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
