In addition to the Keiyo Line, this station is also served by trains that connect to the Musashino Line from Nishi-Funabashi Station. It is also the first independent station on the Keiyo Line, starting from Tokyo Station, that does not require transfers to other lines.
It has the lowest number of passengers among JR stations in Tokyo's 23 wards, and is the second lowest number of passengers among all Keiyo Line stations, after Futamatashinmachi Station.
